Our goal is to not let a baby-sitter go to bed every day or at all, without a single thought or action. That’s what the World’s Smallest Baby is for! We want you to notice the difference between two levels of self-aware, self-focusedness and self-sabotaging. This means that we don’t simply let the baby-sitter go off into the night.
There are some things that we should be doing on our lives, like the list of all the things we would like to do in your life. They have to be done in the way we want them to be done. In my experience, the most important thing for our own safety is to not let it be done in the way we want it to be done.
By asking ourselves how we would like the world to be, we can be aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions and allow ourselves to become self-aware. However, because some habits, routines, and impulses are automatic, we often don’t have the luxury of self-awareness. We can only keep ourselves awake by ignoring the automatic responses that we have to our surroundings.
This is the way you know your way around our world. By staying awake, you can keep your home in focus and make it feel like you’re actually in some sort of world.
We all have this automatic reaction to what others around us are doing. This is the way we know what to do in traffic (like, “Just drive”), how to get to places we don’t want to go, or how to be polite when we’re in unfamiliar surroundings. We don’t have the luxury of self-awareness because, as I said, our habits, routines, impulses, and responses make us more than reactive.
If you want to be a part of your own personal self-awareness, you need to make a conscious effort to be aware of that automatic reaction. You probably know your habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, but you probably dont want to be a part of them. This is the difference between a proactive self-awareness and one that is reactive. Proactive self-awareness is where you are aware that you are reacting to something.
You might not want to be a part of your automatic reactions, but you don’t want to be a part of the automatic reactions of others either. You want to be proactive in creating a self-awareness that you want to be a part of.

This is a big one. We don’t do a lot of proactive self-awareness because we’re often reacting too much to too many things. If I’m driving to a restaurant, I’m aware I’m driving. I’m not aware I’m walking in a shopping mall, eating a donut, or talking to a friend. When I’m feeling like I’m being pulled in too many directions I want to create a self-awareness that I want to be a part of.
The problem with creating a self-awareness is that we are not always aware of the details and the many distractions we bring to the table. When we are aware of many details, we have to decide what to do with them. For instance, if you’re driving a car, you want to be aware of anything that might be dangerous. If you’re walking though a mall, you want to be aware that people are watching you, so you need to make a conscious decision that you’re walking.
