Our local government is not all that great. What is even worse is the fact that the majority of the money comes from the pockets of a few local government officials, which is why I have always been wary to donate to them on a regular basis. That said, this year, for the first time, I will be putting some money towards the local government. It is a great feeling to help out an organization that is doing so much good for the community that I know.

As a local government organizer, I do not want to be seen as a victim. I want to help the community that I know.
But I’m not sure if I have the right to make decisions like that. The people I’m helping aren’t necessarily even happy about it. For example, this year I helped fund a great deal of the renovation of an old school building. They were trying to find a new use for this building. The school is in terrible condition and the renovations they thought they were going to make would put a lot more strain on the school.
The grant that I helped fund was to renovate the old school, and I was involved with it in some way. But the school was already in desperate need of renovation, so it really wasn’t a big deal. It was a very minor thing for me to be involved with, and even though the board for the school was pretty upset about it I thought it was okay because it was such a small thing.
6161 is a school and it’s like the most important thing that anyone has ever done in their whole life. I know a lot of people would argue that money was not the most important thing, but as a former educator myself, I feel like a lot of the reason we do the things we do is to feel better about ourselves and how we feel about the world.
This is something I’ve been thinking about a lot over the past few months. When I was in 4-H, I was one of the kids who got a bunch of money for being good at something. I would think to myself, I am good at something, if only I could get a few more bucks I could get a job, or get more privileges. I was sure these were the same kind of thoughts we have when we think about things like this.
We’re not doing this because we are scared that we might not have a chance to try out the whole game. The reason we do it isn’t because we are scared that we might not have a chance, it’s that we have a strong sense of self-confidence that people feel they have to prove they are good at something. Being on the wrong side is probably a big reason why we go to the wrong side.
Another reason you would go to the wrong side is because you are afraid of what you will or will not do when you come back from the other side. We all have internalized the idea that if we are not on the right side of whatever issue we are trying to resolve, then we will be punished for it.
Being on the wrong side is a lot like being on the wrong side in life. You have to prove who you are. Everyone else is a liar. Once you are on the wrong side of something, you have to prove you are on the right side. Your side is your responsibility.
