Thats a pretty bland curry. I would go with the basic recipe, but I would try to add some more curry. I wouldnt use curry powder unless I had to.
I usually just buy curry powder and boil it down, but I will try this recipe with curry powder next time.
I used to hate curry, but now I really enjoy the spicy flavor of curry. I think I could totally make curry from scratch, but I would not start with the basic recipe that I have. I would just use whatever spices I had.
